2005 Newsletter
My wife, Ermile, is self-employed and does contracted work for various schools and ed. organizations. I am still teaching at St. Francis School in Honolulu in Social Studies--World History, Psych, and Street Law--and am in my 35th year there. Looking forward to retiring!! Son Andy has a 17-yr-old son and daughter Kristin has a 9-month-old son. My only relative still in Lawrence is my sister Carol's son Tim. We're not likely to make it back there, but I certainly do remember many of you and would like to keep in your address books to receive any updates on the classmates. |

Memories from Lawrence High Days: Left LHS for KU at the end of junior year, but remember football games, cheering “First and ten, do it again!” in that horrid Pep Club skirt and jacket (and not knowing what the cheer meant until later in college). Biology with Pearl Carpenter, who was committed to getting students to say “stomACH” instead of “stomICK”. Having to copy the Reader’s Digest and SAT questions in Mr. Capper’s English class. Having to memorize play lines for Miss Ruttan. An assembly skit with the ball players dressed up as girls. Being in plays, especially one where the crowd shouted “Give us Barabbas.” The youth church group that had hay rides and skating parties.
