Second Tuesday Gathering
The “Local Girls from the Class of ‘59” meet regularly at 9 a.m. on the 2nd Tuesday of each month at the First Watch restaurant in Lawrence. Nothing fancy … just good conversation and laughs. Come join us!

From the June Gathering:
Sue Midyett's recipe for Guess Again Cookies
1 cup butter (no substitutes)
1/2 cup sugar
1 1/2 cups flour
1 teaspoon vanilla
3/4 cup finely crushed potato chips
Preheat oven to 325°. Mix butter and sugar in electric mixer until fluffy. Add flour and mix well until smooth. By hand, add vanilla and potato chips, mix well. Drop on ungreased cookie sheet by small teaspoonfuls. Bake 15-20 minutes, until light brown. Cool and sprinkle with sifted confectioners' sugar. These freeze exceptionally well. Makes 5 dozen.
